Visiting Trainer – Soft Skills & Communication

Gopalakrishna M.P. is a visiting trainer at SSDC who conducts sessions on soft skills, communication, and company readiness for students preparing to enter the professional world. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and years of experience in both corporate and freelance roles, he brings a practical understanding of what workplaces expect and how young people can prepare themselves to meet those expectations.

A native of Karnataka, Gopal holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career as a Design Engineer, working in the corporate sector for seven years, where he developed strong technical and analytical skills. Later, he transitioned to freelance work, offering sales training, presales support, and design services for automotive companies. These diverse experiences allowed him to understand the importance of communication, adaptability, and problem-solving—skills that are often overlooked in traditional education.

At SSDC, Gopal conducts focused workshops aimed at helping students become career-ready. His sessions cover workplace behavior, communication, teamwork, and professional presentation. Having interacted with students from rural areas, he observes that many are strongly motivated by the goal of getting a job but often need encouragement to think beyond it. He emphasizes that real growth requires consistent personal effort and self-driven learning.

Gopal’s teaching approach is practical and interactive, encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones and apply what they learn. He believes that skill development should not stop at employability—it should inspire self-confidence, independence, and lifelong curiosity. His message resonates deeply with students: be truthful, remain a lifelong learner, and take ownership of your growth.
